Dr. Mackie is a metro-Detroit native and lifelong Michigander! She has always had a passion for dentistry, but most importantly she loves developing and maintaining personal connections with people. She decided to pursue a career in orthodontics so that she could spend quality time with a variety of patients and help give them the smile of their dreams.
She went to the University of Michigan and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in evolutionary anthropology with high distinction. She then stuck around U of M for dental school and orthodontic residency—making her a Wolverine for life! During residency, she obtained her Master of Science degree by researching CBCT biomarkers in the articular fossa for early signs of temporomandibular joint disease.
In her free time, Dr. Mackie enjoys spending time with her husband, Albert, and her friends and family. She and her husband love giving back to the community, traveling, attending Broadway musicals, and trying new restaurants!
